The myth of the Algerian regime's "principled position" on the Moroccan Sahara!

The regime of generals, both civilian and military, in Algeria never misses an opportunity to repeat a "stupid" statement, one that no one in Algeria or the world believes except itself, stating that its hostile stance towards Morocco and its territorial integrity is a "principled position" towards the issue of "decolonization", and that it is a "neutral party" in this issue!!! The latest of which was stated two days ago by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune. The strange insistence on repeating this unrealistic statement by representatives of the military regime raises several questions and calls for some observations.
However, before delving into refuting and “ridiculing” this statement, we first ask: To whom is the Algerian regime directing this “false” message? Morocco is certainly not the party concerned by this message, because it has more than experienced the “vileness” of the Algerian regime, and has been burned by the flames of its “neutrality,” and has suffered from its “principled” hostility! This leaves two logical parties: the oppressed Algerian people, and the international community (Arabs, Africans, Muslims, and international organizations). Here, we have the right to ask “in condemnation,” not inquisitively: Does this regime believe that there is anyone in Algeria—other than the regime’s mercenaries and followers from parties and the media—who would believe the lie of the regime’s “principled positions” and its alleged neutrality, while they are deprived of visiting their relatives and maintaining family ties with their brothers in the struggle in eastern Morocco for three decades? Is there any free Algerian citizen, among the millions who have taken to the streets demanding the downfall of this regime, who truly believes that this regime has any principles other than absolute control over the state and society using the brutal and oppressive tools of power since independence? Are there not more important principles that this group of Algerian generals, both civilian and military, should believe in than blatant hostility towards neighbors, brothers, and friends? Isn't the people's satisfaction with those in power the fundamental principle of the legitimacy of any government? Isn't the principle of promoting the national interest and prioritizing the economic, social, and cultural interests of the Algerian people, and attempting to bridge the gaps between Arabs and Amazighs, Chaouis and Ibadis, rural and urban, east and west, within Algeria more deserving than wasting billions on buying the loyalties and passing positions of a regime here or there, within the framework of an absurd war doomed from day one?!
If we exclude the resilient Algerian people from among those targeted by this discourse, and look at the international community, we wonder with the same disapproval: Is there a single UN resolution that supports the "myth" of the Algerian regime's neutrality regarding the Western Sahara issue? Or does the reality dictate that all these UN resolutions tirelessly demand that the regime itself contribute its share to resolving this issue, and refuse to exempt it from attending roundtable negotiations? Indeed, most countries in the world demand that the Algerian regime sit down with its brothers in Morocco "directly" to find a solution that respects the principles of good neighborliness, without addressing a single word to the Polisario mercenaries, who, as everyone knows, cannot even afford to rent a room at their headquarters in the Algerian capital!
Not far from this, any fair-minded person has the right to ask: Why has the Algerian regime not practiced these “principles” towards any national liberation cause in the Arab world, Africa, Islam, or even internationally?! Has this regime, which opens its weapons stores to the Polisario gang, ever provided “a single bullet” to the Palestinian revolutionaries - when there was a revolution - or to any of the African liberation movements from French colonialism or others? Indeed, has the military regime in Algeria dared to embrace armed African independence movements, as Morocco and its successive kings did, from the revolution of Emir Abdelkader to the Algerian National Liberation Revolution, and as a result paid even a small part of the price that Morocco paid for this stand in the face of the French colonialist, with its land, wealth, men, and independence?!! Or does the “verbal struggle” and “revolutionary” speeches from the platforms of the “Socialist International,” the “Non-Aligned Movement,” and the “Resilience and Confrontation Front” exempt it from the real struggle for which truly free people pay a high price?! Even if we lower our demands from this military regime to the level of financial support, and exempt them from military aid that requires "manly positions" that they are not worthy of, has anyone heard of Algerian funds contributing to the development of any of the newly independent African peoples, instead of buying off the positions of weak presidents and paying the bills demanded by their French "benefactor"?! Has a single Algerian dollar gone to support the steadfastness of the people of Jerusalem, who are steadfast in any of the sectors that do not incur the wrath of Israel and the United States, such as education, health, and housing? Or does the reality dictate that this task was, and still is, entrusted to countries with limited resources, such as Morocco and Jordan, and others with wealth, such as Saudi Arabia, the Emirates, Qatar, and Kuwait?! No one should rush to say that there is support going to the Palestinian Authority, and before it, the Palestine Liberation Organization, as we all know the vast difference between supporting these two bodies and direct support for the steadfast people of Jerusalem!
Therefore, if there is any ounce of shame left in the face of this military regime, its henchmen and mouthpieces, let him stop repeating this “nonsense” about his “principles” that support the liberation of peoples, and let him exempt the honorable sons of Algeria, and the rest of the rational people in the Arab and Islamic worlds and the international community, from repeatedly hearing this “broken record,” and let him express his “eternal” hostility to his Moroccan neighbor clearly and without ambiguity, and let him fight his “cheap” wars with honor, if this word has a meaning in his dictionary, and let him bear their disastrous consequences alone, instead of trying to spoil the bonds of blood, affection and shared history of struggle between the two brotherly peoples!
